John Treadwell
John Treadwell is originally from San Diego and did his undergraduate work at San Diego State University. His fields of research include macroeconomics, monetary economics, Bayesian estimation, dynamic stochastic general equilibrium models, and to a lesser extent labor economics.
John is currently working on his dissertation under the supervision of professors Fabio Milani and William Branch.
His dissertation is a treatise on policy evaluation and takes a holistic approach to the topic. The chapter that comprises his job market paper features a macro-style analysis of the monetary policy of the G7 surrounding the “Great Inflation” using a prototypical monetary DSGE model. The other chapters feature an analysis of post-2001 visa policy from a labor economics perspective, as well as an evaluation of the use of anticipated shocks in policy analysis.
Generally, during his spare time, John is with his wife. He also enjoys travel, scuba diving, and cooking.
