Assistant Professor
Subject to budgetary authorization, the Department of Economics will consider applications for one position at the assistant professor level to begin July 1, 2012. We invite applications from both new Ph.D.s and individuals one to two years post Ph.D. The department seeks candidates with expertise in transportation economics, environmental economics, or energy economics.  Applicants with joint interests in transportation and environmental economics or transportation and energy economics would be especially attractive, but individuals working in a single area are also encouraged to apply.  We welcome applicants with either theoretical or empirical interests.  Successful candidates must demonstrate substantial promise for a scholarly career.

Temporary Part-Time Lecturers
The Department of Economics is currently accepting applications for temporary part-time Lecturers for the 2011-12 Academic year. Compensation is based on an annual full time salary ranging from $45,000 to $67,500 and depends on teaching experience. Appointments may be available in the following fields:

Macroeconomics
Econometrics
Industrial Organization
International Economics
Labor Economics
Financial Economics
Public Economics
Urban and Transportation Economics

Applicants with a Ph.D preferred.  Recent U.C. graduates must have their Ph.D. degree completed by mid-Spring 2011, to be eligible to teach Winter 2012.
